We Exist…We Really Exist

Today we begin the begin.  After months of pretending we didn't exist, today's official press release and the attendant website facelift mark start of the journey towards Skate 3 hitting store shelves.  If you've been with the franchise for a while, you know what comes next.  You rabidly ask questions searching every nook and cranny for possible detail....and I play dumb because I am on a relatively short leash when it comes to rolling out info.  It's the dance that we must partake in.  Sorry, but that's just the way it is when you're dealing with something that so many people care so passionately about.  If we announce something and don't deliver....you hate us.  If we keep mum on a subject until it's 100% sure to work and be in the game....you hate us.  But probably a little less.  We'll take the little less.

So...get ready for more "neither confirm nor denies" from me.  I'll be sharing what I can as soon as I can.  Because believe me, I want to share what we've got as I love it and live it.  The new stuff is sick....I just can't wait to skate it with you all.

In something I can share....probably the number one question on most Skateheads' minds is...where will we be skating?  Good news....it's an all new city....100% recycle-free goodness.

Another thing I can share is that we've been heavily inspired by what you guys have been doing with the game.  By that, I mean teams.  "Teams" is a major theme of where Skate 3 is heading.  You guys headed there on your own, and we're heading there as a natural evolution of where Skate should go.  I mean, we've done zero to hero...we've done the comeback....isn't it time to start our own team/company?  Yep, it is.

Over the next little while...I'm going to start running more team blogs...like the killer one Jack just did.  Get your team managers to contact me and we'll figure out a way to get them up and posted. If the game is about teams, I figure we ought to let the teams share what's happening.

I'm going to shift into regular garbled, messy, random blog mode now.  But before I do, I just want to say thanks to all of you for helping us get a greenlight to make Skate 3.  If you're reading this, you're part of the family that's getting this beast done.  Dysfunctional?  Probably, but family, nonetheless.

Commence sending questions that I can't answer....NOW!

Longplays

Gotta throw 9 up in here.  Two reasons...to start, Shingo is afraid of Tim Burton and Dr. StrangeLulz handled himself admirably in last Thursday's (or Sunday's) Heckle Sesh.  He destroyed the Parkade like he destroyed all spots he encountered in 9.

http://www.wegame.com/watch/9_12/

Oats, I believe, Vol 6 dropped on the world.  I liked The Sign Guy's willingness to make the mundane look cool, I was hyped...and I really like how Pawn demonstrated his command of all techniques...although he's lacking Eternal's Natas attack....but I figure that will come in due time...find it if I can't find the link....I found it...  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSqIhFj1XBg

With a name like like Lord Sphinctus you have to get blogged...and I liked the gaps... http://www.wegame.com/watch/Resolve/

Plug has been putting out quality work forver.  Time to revisit his shtuff and say...keep on killing it.  Nice edit Jakey.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yave-OF30Qg

Hey, teams...pick this dude up.  And buy him a slightly better song.  Tuck-knees, wallrdes and slashers always get me... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8B26A3nwK2Y&feature=player_embedded#t=12  Was that a song from Fraser?

King Ben and The Juice win a nod for most topical title...and I like The Stones... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kz3wVNee-4

I feel bad for The Valley Boy because he's rolling with a new heavy... Nice start, better second, and the tandem/collabo stuff set the bar just a tad bit higher....nice to see the Natas stuff is on lock...  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaW0cCp2qxQ

Tales From The Skatepark

Remember when this guy pulled a Kayne style bum rush at the 1994 MTV awards?  I'm old.  I do.  REM won, Sabotage should have.     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sx1ynwRJBNM

Follow up on the Kayne tip...recorded a pro for Skate 3 yesterday.  Kayne's supreme kookedness and complete lack of a modicum of civil demeanor found its way into the recording session.  Damn, Kayne....does all this notoriety mean I have to pay attention to the music you make?  Probably not.  Next.

Here's an idea whose time has come....the sushi bar/Chuck E. Cheese/nightclub/garish décor/bad music combo spot.  We came across Tokyo Delves as we wandered the streets of Burbank during a recent recording session for Madden 14...er...Skate 3.  We were hungry, and the neon lights outside beckoned us in a..."hey-they-have-neon-lights-in-Tokyo-what-could-go-wrong?" way.   What could go wrong?  Everything.  But I loved it.  Here's a recap....We enetered and got a plastic wristband like they give at low-rent parties/night clubs.  Sweet.  As we entered, the music was so loud and bad we started looking for the poles....if you get what I mean.  Sweet.  We were sat at the sushi bar and immediately heckled by a Mexican sushi chef.  When he turned around it said "DJ" on his shirt.  He played Bon Jovi.  Sweet.  We ordered some bad food but before it could arrive, all the servers took to the aisles (did I mention in was a sushi barn?) and started into a synchronized In-Synch performance with the bartender taking on lead Justin Timberlake duties...Sooooo sweet.  We were in the eye of the most surreal hurricane ever.  The snaggletooth woman that came in and started go-go dancing next to the bar as she waited for her take-out order sealed the deal for me.  Best dining experience ever.

Ever.  See :46 for evidence that my normally prevaricating mind isn't prevaricating... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1643885655781881819#docid=8091931941005652068  (See where the spotlight dude is?  We sat right behind him at the bar.  Aweseome!)

And, Again...sorry for spacing on You...

If I missed you...I will do better.  Oh, and I forgot...check out Manolo's Blackout from The Couch.  I got goose bumps when Travis Brickle appeared at the end.  Scared the Joose right out of me.  Look it up...I can't find the link (But it's in the discussions section from the last blog...talk about lazy!)

The following stuff was written for public consumption a few weeks ago.  I didn't get around to getting it posted...but there are some nuggets of goodness that need to get a bump...if for no other reason than the stuff ruled and deserved recognition.  Take a look...it's out of date...but good is good...

What Was The Name Of That Blog.?

Oh, that's right...Piktro kills it and Southie sux...unless of course we get Southie onto Team Canada for the Vancouver Oh-10 Olympics, in which case he would be a ruler.  I digress....

Longplays

I've missed so much I know I'll invoke a hate shower.  Let it pour...I've got an umbrella...

Here's what I saw recently...

STC...very emotional intro...maybe they can shoot the intro for the new Twilight movie...I felt bad that San Van residents and security were so harsh...here's part 1...the rest easily clickable from there... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTQh6EWddD4#lq-lq2-hq-vhq  ... all were good...or else I wouldn't have included here...but Nolan?  Yes!  You need to get in a Thursday night heckle sesh... :37 of part 3 had to be over the only death box in San Van....FTW, baby! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mwa5j4WHf4&feature=fvw

Trust Me...you'll like to click this and then click other stuff from the Instinct... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xGjbnlO2mU ... Rippers song ripped and 6:20 was fancy but the front lip to front smith dub grind killed...

Shorties

The Boss remake from Baker 3 has been sitting there for a while.  Official word from the Darkman has it as "proper"...which is a pretty sparkling accolade from the man of few words...great work...gotta love Andrew, eh?... Is he in that next Ride?  Hope not, wouldn't want him to get hurt carpet boarding...  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fySEAFWZZWk&feature=channel_page

Rhekaan Rhekked it with his solo...nice intro...tight editing ...3:06 was awesome, but maybe not as awesome as the tunes...and I really liked the shout outs to his Gear "hook-ups"...like to see the respect spread around...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoiVf13EY70

I think this is a Compound joint from mksp94...I think because I saw it a while ago and forgot to link the info...but...WHAT!?...so pawnluvvy/eternal rewind...terrific!  Like a Tiger full of monkey blood...  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-b2K31xdJ8 ...hope your grill has fully recovered.

It says BlackMetal/Gallagher for this Tender Moments doubles routine...but the Queen and the choreography sold me... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Si9Eojh7TY ...who knew smashing watermelons could be so much fun?

If Stevland releases stuff I usually like it...and this is a usual clip... front blunt bash at 1:04 was dope... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWlHoixWsSc

Tales From The Skatepark...

In Fail Report News...Demz emailed stating that he had given up the quest for the Holy Grail of Crystal Skulls...here's what he had to say: (proper punctuation there...no "..."s)

"ok so after 7 hours of straight ollies.

ive come to the conclusion that 1 point is not possible...

the smallest powerslide gets you 12..

grabs are like 20s...

nothin else gets that low..

i tried..."

I respect Demz immensely...but...Southie showed me how to do it right away.  It's an exploit...but, hey, what's life if we can't exploit it?

Where's the off button for my "why not" switch?

Today's my first day with a new belt.  Thank you Etnies...although I don't know how I got this pack of laces...for making really, really long shoe fasteners.  I'm seriously psyched.

I felt like this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjGoxq2YWo4 the other night when a bunch of non-loc bikers showed up at Seylynn.  This is my wave, baby...go home!

In a hotel room in Burbank watching American cable...needless to say, I'm in heaven.  Just saw an ad for Skate GX...I think that's the name...it's a findgerboard on super go juice and the commercial was filmed at a skatepark.  Man, I would have loved to have seen them try to shut down my park to shoot that ridiculous piece of poop. http://www.gxskate.com/

Looking forward to Madeen Oh-14.

Peace.

 Keep Roling,

 Skate 3 Is ON!!!!!
